Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in West Africa: From Plans to Actions. 
The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) is organizing the 1st edition of the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF2017), from October 11-13, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dakar, Senegal.

The ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum aims to promote exchange of ideas and cooperation to support the acceleration of sustainable solutions to the region’s energy situation. The forum will provide a platform to improve the current policy and regulatory landscape hindering the required investment into the region’s energy sector. The forum will also facilitate networking and partnerships between ECOWAS policy makers, regional and international private sector players and financial institutions.

The theme for ESEF 2017 is Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in West Africa: from plans to actions. Two main outcomes will be sought at ESEF 2017:

1. Official launch of the Rural Off-Grid Electrification Project in collaboration with the World Bank; and

2. Adoption of the Roadmap for the West Africa Clean Energy Corridor
